Dumb Comic Creators is a resource for anyone wanting to make comics. From beginners to experts, we hope to provide comic creation resources you can use for your own projects. We also host a podcast about making comics.
ABOUT US
Who are we?
The answer: Two inexperienced comic creators
Eric Schwartz and Keegan Shiner are best friends and comedians who love comics. They are truly “dumb comic creators” who are trying the best they can to learn all they can about making comics. As they learn, they share their findings on this website and hopefully impart “wisdom” to the masses about how to create comics. Eric’s extensive experience dissecting comics as an employee at a comic book store compliments Keegan’s book publishing knowledge and writing experience.
They are both trained in improvisational comedy and have performed together often over the last 10 years. They are also known as the two-man improv group Googly Eyes and once performed at the Chicago Improv Festival.
On the side, Eric is an accountant and Keegan is a facilities director at a public access station.

We hope this site will help you on your way to becoming a comic book creator. There are many places online that you can gather information about making comics, but it is sometimes hard to navigate different sub-reddits and various comic forums for information. We are sharing our personal experiences and knowledge about the process.
